"When my company relocated me to Stamford, I looked into apartments there and was surprised at how high the rents were  I then looked into apartments in Manhattan, figuring if I was going to pay that much I might as well spend a little extra and live in the city.  A chance encounter with a Bridgeport native brought Lofts 881 to my attention, and at first I was skeptical.  I did some research though and found that it was a terrific investment opportunity, and actually bought sight unseen (I was living overseas at the time).  That's how compelling the value story was.

 

Now that I've been living there for a few months, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Bridgeport has really grown on me, it has its charms today and has nothing but upside for tomorrow.  I live walking distance from the train station, the ferry, good restaurants, and best of all, the beach.  881 is in a nice, quiet part of town that is super easy to access from the highway.  I love coming home here and having the extra space, sense of security, high-end trappings and the peace of mind that I'm going to realize an investment on my home.  These are things I wouldn't be able to get together all at once if I lived closer to or in the city.  Oh, and my neighbors are great!  A fun, diverse group."

We moved to the Lofts at 881 two months ago from Manhattan. We really wanted to buy our first home, but the places that we could afford in New York were old and run down or the size of a closet. Christy traveled to Hartford for a job and we started to explore the surrounding area. We began to fall in love with Connecticut, but found Hartford too far away from our jobs in New York. Eli found an ad for the Lofts on CraigsList and we decided to take the company car and check it out. Barabara was so wonderful and though building was barely finished, we could tell that it was just right for us. Barbara’s excitement and enthusiasm for the place was genuine and contagious! Our new home was not only affordable, but came complete with a gorgeous new kitchen, amazing amenities, wonderful neighbors, and the most incredible staff. Jason, Barbara, Patrick, and Tony have made this transition so smooth and easy, and we are absolutely in love with our new home. We commute to the city on MetroNorth and find it a welcome change from the crowded subway! We really did find the best of both worlds!
